In sintesi

Avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider will be unlikely on Saturday.  Warm, sunny weather has been melting the surface snow and on steep sunny slopes small Wet Loose avalanches are possible.  These avalanches could be large enough to knock a rider off their feet, so be mindful of terrain traps like mid-slope cliffs that could make an otherwise small avalanche into a more consequential event.

On Friday I observed rollerballs and pinwheels on steep Southeast slopes.  These are an early sign of instability due to melting.  On the steepest South slopes, Wet Loose avalanches were possible and will be again on Saturday.  I expect these avalanches to be small, but they could entrain enough snow to knock a rider off their feet.  Be careful of mid-slope cliffs and gullies that might make an otherwise small avalanche more problematic.

If the melting snow starts to feel deep or heavy, it's time to find safer and better riding on slopes that face less directly toward the sun.
