The overall avalanche danger on the Manti Skyline remains LOW.
If you are getting into steep terrain, continue to use standard backcountry protocol by only putting one person at a time on or below steep slopes.

Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: The stagnant weather pattern continues. Sunday was another day of mild weather. Snow conditions are a mixed bag of crusts, slabs and some soft snow mixed in here and there. More info HERE from John Pikus who traveled around Staker a bit on Sunday. There was a slight increase in west wind overnight. Probably only noticeable on the highest most exposed peaks.
Mountain Weather: Today is the last day of mild weather before we see a pattern change. We'll have high temperatures into the mid 30s again with increasing clouds. Wind from the west will continue to increase a bit but I don't think it'll get too strong. There is a series of small storms moving through this week. The most notable is Christmas morning although it generally looks pretty meager. European weather models portray this event a bit more favorable than the US model. Hopefully that is the case.
