Hardly any increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and wind.
Some snow will fall over a wide area. This applies also at low altitude. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas the wind slabs will increase in size moderately. Snow sport participants can release avalanches in isolated cases. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.
Some new snow to low altitudes. The new snow will be deposited on a crust in particular on sunny slopes and at low and intermediate altitudes. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack at intermediate and high altitudes. In particular in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
