The avalanche prone locations are rare and are easy to recognise.
Older wind slabs are clearly recognisable. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on very steep northwest, north and east facing slopes individual small moist slab avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, on very steep shady slopes.
The snowpack remains well bonded over a wide area. The older wind slabs are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes.
