Forecast Snow Stability: The old patchy snow will remain firm and well bonded. Localised pockets of softer snow will be encountered in wind sheltered locations on South-East and South aspects above 900 metres. Distribution will be limited and any accumulations will be mostly avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Temperature inversion conditions but the summit air temperatures should just stay below freezing in the shade. Observed Weather Influences: A dry, bright and sunny day with light, variable winds. Minus 0.4 degrees centigrade at 930 metres at midday. ObservedSnowStability: The old patchy snow is firm and well bonded. Localised pockets of softer snow exist in wind sheltered locations on South-East and South aspects above 900 metres. Consolidation was taking place in the strong sunlight. Distribution is limited and deposits are mostly avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
