As the temperature drops hardly any more moist and wet avalanches are possible. Individual gliding avalanches can also be released in the night or in the morning, in particular on extremely steep grassy slopes below approximately 2700 m. Field observations and natural avalanches confirm this situation. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided as far as possible. The sometimes moderate wind has transported the old snow. The mostly small wind slabs of Tuesday can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases at high altitude, in particular at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example in particular in high Alpine regions.
Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in particular on very steep sunny slopes in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. As a consequence of falling temperatures a crust formed on the surface. These conditions facilitated a strengthening of the near-surface layers in particular on sunny slopes, in particular below approximately 2700 m. Shady slopes: The snowpack is dry and has a loosely bonded surface. In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2400 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and at high altitude a little snow is lying.
A little new snow: In these regions there will be only a very slight increase in the danger.
