Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack is limited in extent and will remain well bonded and stable. The greatest amounts can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 950 metres. Shallow wet snow instabilities will exist in recent deposits, these being mostly limited to very steep locations. A light dusting of snow to lower elevations will be inconsequential. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: An unsettled period ahead. Precipitation is expected initially falling as rain overnight at all elevations. This will gradually turn to snow during day light hours, this lying above 500 metres by the end of the period. Snow amounts are likely to be small. The freezing level will drop from above the summits to 600 metres later. Winds will be storm force and from the West-South-West, veering to the West-North-West and easing slightly during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A predominately dry day, with just occasional very light showers falling as snow early in the period above 900 metres. Later precipitation fell as rain to summit levels. The freezing level was 900 metres overnight quickly rising above the summits by early morning. Winds were mainly strong and South-West in direction. ObservedSnowStability: A cosmetic dusting of snow exists above 800 metres. Despite this there is no change in the snowpack, with isolated snow patches and snow fields at the highest elevations, such as scarp slopes and gully tops. Greatest amounts can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 950 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
