The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning, and could rise to MODERATE if skies clear later in the day. At the mid and upper elevations, wet loose slides will become possible as temperatures rise and snow surfaces soften. While unlikely, backcountry travelers could still trigger isolated pockets of dry surface slabs up to a foot in depth persisting on very-steep, shaded starting zones above 9,000 feet. Mostly bare ground exists at the lower elevations.

A chance of isolated showers persists through Sunday night, before the next weather systems moves through on Monday. This system could bring 1 to 3 inches of snowfall to the upper elevations on Monday. Overnight temperatures in the mountains are expected to dip into the upper 20s before rising back into the 30s on Monday. The valley should see lows in the lower 30s and highs in the upper 40s.
