In sintesi

At mid and upper elevations backcountry travelers have recently released dangerous slides on steep, northerly slopes that have seen little prior travel. The snow of the past week started with weak, light density snow and slippery graupel which has been covered by warm, dense snow. Several slides have been reported the last few days with events Friday including a large, remotely triggered slide at high elevation in the Snake River Range and a large slab released by a small explosive on the "North Ridge" a closed area near the top of the Jackson Hole Mtn. Resort. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today with a lack of warming due to overcast skies.
