Soft slabs formed during recent snow and strong winds lie in avalanche terrain. These slabs will be most sensitive to human triggers in steep terrain at the high elevations where slabs to two feet deep could be triggered today. At the mid elevations pockets of slab with similar depths could be also be triggered. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today except for in isolated areas of very steep terrain.

The southern areas may see a few inches of snow tonight, while most of the region experiences continued occasional flurries. Temperatures look to rise from near ten below in the morning to the single digits during the day while skies become partly sunny. Winds will be light. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Considerable in the Southwest Trails/Greys River Area and Moderate in the Teton and Togwotee Pass areas. In steep avalanche terrain in the Southwest Trails area slabs to two feet in depth could be triggered by skiers or riders. In the Tetons, pockets of slab with similar depths could be triggered while in the Togwotee Pass area pockets to eighteen inch depths remain susceptible to human triggering.
