In sintesi
Strong winds will continue to drive new snow and plentiful available snow into easily triggered soft slabs to three feet in depth on lee slopes at mid and upper elevations. Up to three feet of snow since Friday rests on slick sun crusts and weak, faceted snow on a variety of aspects. Some potential remains for travelers, especially those on snowmachines, to trigger hard slabs up to six feet deep in some steep, upper elevation avalanche paths. At low elevations easily triggered sloughs will be dangerous in areas where debris can pile up such as ravines and terrain traps. Early yesterday a large avalanche released in the Wolf Mountain path in the Snake River Canyon, likely on faceted snow low in the snowpack.
