New snow and wind slabs above approximately 1500 m.
As a consequence of new snow and wind individual slab avalanches are possible as the day progresses, even medium-sized ones. They can be released, in particular by large additional loads. Individual small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized natural avalanches are possible. Down to low altitudes snow will fall.
Snowpack Structure
The snowpack will become generally moist. As a consequence of snowfall and the strong wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form in the course of the day. These are to be assessed with care and prudence. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads or triggered naturally. The moist fresh snow of yesterday as well as the wind slabs are lying on top of a weakly bonded old snowpack.
