Warm air moving in aloft in a southerly flow kept temperatures in the mid 30s overnight. Low humidities and abundant sunshine will enable air temperatures in the mountains to rise well into the 40s and 50s and create dangerous avalanche conditions. Wet loose avalanches are likely and large destructive wet slab avalanches are possible. Some of these events may be triggered by cornice failures. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended after the early morning hours.
