In sintesi

Several inches of new snow that accumulated at the higher elevations during the past several days lies upon firm old snow surfaces. The snowpack is mostly stable however; shallow, loose snow sluffs and isolated pockets of soft slab up to eight inches deep could pose a threat to climbers or skiers who venture into cliff areas, onto hanging snowfields or into other types of extreme terrain. Tonight our friends group is the benefactor of special off-season dinner menus at the Qroadhouse, Rendezvous Bistro and The Kitchen.

Avalanche Discussion

Instability in the moist flow aloft will produce occasional localized snow showers as the flow moves from the Northeast to the North and then the Northwest through Sunday. These backing winds will have averages of ten to twenty miles per hour while mountain temperatures are to rise from the low twenties in the morning to the upper twenties to low thirties in the afternoon. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be low as recently fallen snow is absorbed into the stable and homogeneous snowpack.
