The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Warm temperatures have created unstable conditions. Yesterday a snowboarder triggered a three foot deep wet slab in the starting zone of a major avalanche path on a southeast aspect of Angle Mountain. One person in the party was caught and partially buried but not injured. Similar events could be triggered today on steep snow covered slopes and have the potential to step down to the ground or buried layers of weak faceted snow.
