The fresh snow of Thursday and in particular the wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on west to north to east facing aspects above approximately 2100 m. Avalanches can in some places be released easily. They can in some cases penetrate near-ground layers of the snowpack and reach dangerously large size in all aspects. Single winter sport participants can release avalanches in some places, including medium-sized ones.

Weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep west, north and east facing slopes. Reports filed by observers and snow profiles confirm the unfavourable bonding of the snowpack on shady slopes. Snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2000 m, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The danger of dry avalanches will decrease. The danger of moist avalanches will increase. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation small and medium-sized moist loose snow avalanches are to be expected.
