In sintesi

The avalanche danger today is low above 8,500 feet and not rated below that elevation due to low or no snow coverage. 'Low' hazard does not mean 'no' hazard exists. Caution is advised today as many obstacles lurk just under the snow surface and even small slides could result in serious injuries.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Westerly winds in the 15-25 mph range will continue this evening and become calm by the early morning hours. Temperatures will dip slightly into the twenties overnight before climbing back into the high twenties/low thirties tomorrow. Isolated showers may develop overnight with no measurable snowfall expected. Skies will be partly cloudy during the day tomorrow. The avalanche danger will remain LOW tomorrow. Mild daytime temps and sunshine will help to further stabilize the snowpack for the long term. Expect faceting (weakening) of the snowpack to continue on cold and shaded aspects.
