Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger will prevail.

The old wind slabs are small and can only be released in isolated cases. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. Shady slopes: The snowpack consists of faceted crystals. In some localities 0 to 5 cm of snow has fallen. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to moistening of the snowpack on steep slopes.
