Forecast Snow Stability: Remaining snow will initially be wet and soft but generally well bonded in all locations. As the freezing level drops existing snow will become firmer, particularly at higher levels. Any new snowfall is expected to be very light and inconsequential. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will begin to drop, initially to around 1000 metres, then down to 650 metres during the afternoon. There will be light new snowfall during the morning. Strong winds will be from the South-South-West throughout the day. Observed Weather Influences: A poor day on the hill with little visibility. Rain at all levels and very windy at times. ObservedSnowStability: There has been a significant loss of snow overnight leaving a patchy cover on most aspects. Wet snow instabilities were noted on a few steep locations above 800 metres on most aspects but otherwise the majority of the snow is well bonded. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
