CM for 2.4.22 Old snowpack remains frozen and stable on all aspects. New snow depositis will be shallow. Avalanche Hazard Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: Little change expected in the continuing cold conditions. The old snowpack will remain frozen, firm and well bonded on all aspects and altitudes. Some accummulations of the new snow will exist in sheltered locations above 900 metres, these will be shallow and avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The winds will be light and variable, mainly from the Northern sector. Showers bringing only trace amounts of new snow will diminish by midnight with no further precipitation expected. The freezing level will drop towards the glens around dawn before slowly rising to 900 metres by the early evening. Observed Weather Influences: A cold day with light Northerly winds which backed to become Westerly during the morning. The freezing level was at glen level overnight rising to around 600 metres with intermittent, afternoon snow showers at all levels. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is patchy above 850 metres. It is re-frozen, firm and well bonded on all aspects. Only trace amounts of the new snow in wind sheltered locations. These accumulations are shallow and not extensive, they are mostly avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
