Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. Above approximately 2000 m: The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften earlier than the day before. In particular steep sunny slopes and intermediate altitudes: Towards its surface, the snowpack is moist and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to extreme consolidation of the snowpack. However, Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to a loss of strength within the snowpack over a wide area. Steep shady slopes high altitudes: Large-grained weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack. Which, however, are generally difficult to trigger.
Up to 2300 m rain will fall in some regions. As a consequence of the rain there will be an increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches.

The weather will be warm. A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable conditions generally, but the danger of wet and gliding avalanches will increase later. The avalanche danger will already increase in the late morning. In particular at the base of rock walls and on very steep sunny slopes more small to medium-sized moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. They can occur easily or triggered naturally. Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be started and concluded very early.
