The new snow is bonding poorly with the old snowpack in some places. This snow can be released naturally in all aspects and generally above the tree line. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep slopes, and adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. Small and medium-sized avalanches are possible. The wind will be strong at times in some localities. The wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack at intermediate and high altitudes. These will form in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. They can be released easily in some places. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

Tuesday: 20 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the evening above approximately 1500 m. The new snow will be deposited on a crust in particular on east to south to west facing aspects. The old snowpack is favourably layered.

As a consequence of new snow and strong wind the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase on Wednesday. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level.
