The backcountry touring conditions in the morning, after a clear night, are mostly favourable.

Even in moderately steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. The hard wind slabs are rather small and can only be released in isolated cases. Transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack where hard layers are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack are unfavourable. Such avalanche prone locations are rather rare. Skiers can release avalanches only in isolated cases. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to slight moistening of the snowpack. Until the temperature falls only isolated mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible below approximately 2600 m. Hardly any gliding avalanches are possible, in particular on very steep grassy slopes below approximately 2400 m.

The weather was mild. Below approximately 2300 m, south facing slopes: Towards its surface, the snowpack is hard and its surface has a strong melt-freeze crust. Above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The avalanche danger will persist.
