In sintesi

The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Signicant new snow and strong Northwest winds have formed soft slabs to eighteen inches in depth on leeward slopes. These slabs lie upon crusts and weak layers of snow and could be easily triggered today on steep avalanche paths.
