At the upper elevations soft surface slabs up to a foot in depth could be triggered on very steep slopes and in cliff areas. At mid and lower elevations the snow is mostly stable.

Avalanche Discussion

Another storm system will bring heavier snow and westerly winds to western Wyoming Monday night into Tuesday morning. Snowfall will be light during the day Tuesday then the winds will again increase and back to southwesterly. Tuesday morning temperatures will be in the low teens then rise to the mid twenties during the day. New snow will drift onto lee slopes where easily triggered slabs to a foot in depth are expected. The avalanche hazard is forecasted to be Moderate above 8500 feet in the mountains of western Wyoming Tuesday.
