The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Dangerous, deep, unstable slabs rest upon a base of weak, faceted snow. Recent snow and winds have added weight to these slabs, increasing their likelihood of failure. Backcountry travelers venturing onto these dangerous slabs could easily trigger them, or these slabs could be triggered from a distance. If initiated, these slabs could run full track. Six to twelve inch deep surface slabs lying upon good sliding surfaces, along with loose snow sluffs, could also be human triggered in steep, wind-loaded terrain.
