In sintesi
Cold temperatures overnight have formed a melt-freeze crust on the snow surface. This has resulted in the general avalanche hazard being LOW in the early morning hours and increasing to MODERATE as temperatures rise and the surface of the snowpack softens. Wet loose and wet slab avalanches could be triggered on steep aspects during the warmest portion of the day. Dangerous slabs persist in steep wind loaded starting zones of major avalanche paths. These slabs could be triggered especially by high marking snowmobilers after significant warming occurs. Once triggered these slabs have some potential to step down to deep weak layers or the ground.
