Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are safe from avalanches. If you are traveling late in the day and the snow gets heavy and gloppy, avoid steep slopes. In addition, if your plan is to ride steep, exposed terrain, watch for small pockets of older wind-drifted snow. Even a small avalanche can knock you off your feet and take you for a dangerous ride.
