Avalanche Discussion

Dry conditions will continue into Sunday afternoon. On Saturday skies will be clear above areas of valley fog. Overnight lows will be well below zero in the valleys and in the teens or low 20s at the higher elevations. Daytime highs will rise into the mid to upper 20s in the mountains and into the teens in the valleys. Winds will be west to northwest at 6 to 12 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at all elevations. Mostly stable snow exists and avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets in very steep upper elevation terrain. Normal caution and safe travel practices are always advised in avalanche terrain.
