New snow and wind slabs require caution.

Above approximately 1200 m snow will fall until the early morning. Over a wide area 10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen. From early morning the wind will be moderate to strong. Since Sunday avalanche prone wind slabs formed in particular in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain as well as at intermediate and high altitudes. These can be released by a single winter sport participant. The fresh snow of yesterday as well as the deep wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence above approximately 2200 m. Medium-sized and, in many cases, large dry avalanches are to be expected.

Over a wide area over a wide area 30 to 50 cm of snow has fallen since Sunday. In particular at elevated altitudes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on wind-loaded slopes. Backcountry touring calls for careful route selection.
