Forecast Snow Stability: The limited snowpack, which mainly exists in the higher North and East facing corries will be firm on the highest slopes initially, softening through the day as temperatures rise. There will be generally good stability throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Dry conditions will affect the area overnight and through Monday. Winds will be fresh, generally Southerly. Summit temperatures will be around -1 centigrade initially, rising to + 1 through the course of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Mist and light drizzle has affected the area. Winds have been light, generally Easterly. Daytime summit temperatures were around 1 to 2 degrees Centigrade. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack, which is mainly to be found in the higher North and East facing corries, is moist with generally good stability. A degree of firming initially occurred on the highest slopes, softening later with rising daytime temperatures. The avalanche hazard is Low.
