Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry and cold conditions will affect the area overnight and on Thursday morning, it will become less cold with light snow later in the day when the freezing level will rise to around 1000 metres. Winds will be generally fresh Westerly for much of the period but decreasing moderate and backing more Southerly in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: New snow overnight and today is affecting slopes mainly above 400 metres. Winds have been generally West to West-North-Westerly very strong overnight decreasing through the day. The freezing level is around 600 metres.
