Fantastic skiing can be found in the Takakaw falls region and wind sheltered slopes up the Banff Jasper. Stay tuned to our Facebook page this week as we will be posting some snow profiles soon.

Problemi valanghivi

  • Storm Slabs

    Probabilità

    Dimensione
    1–2
Mod SW winds has contributed to slab formation above treeline in the Takakaw Falls region today. No naturals were observed, but would expect the surface slab to be reactive on steeper alpine features and could fail naturally with enough loading.
  • Deep Persistent Slabs

    • Alta quota
    • Limite del bosco
    • Sotto il limite del bosco
    Probabilità
    Unlikely - Possible
    Dimensione
    2–3
There is a weak, faceted base found in most places except the west side of the divide. Due to the strong wind events throughout the winter, there are many thin, spots where it may still be possible to trigger this layer in the alpine and treeline.
