Forecast Snow Stability: Minor new accumulations of windslab on very sheltered North-West to North aspects above 1000m. Old and new windslab on North-West to North and East to South aspects above 950m will become moist and show some minor wet snow instability later. Recent and older cornices will become weak and prone to collapse with the onset of rain. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Cooler overnight snowpack temperatures easing progressively during the day. Strong South-East winds becoming light during the day. Sleety snow showers overnight, dry during the morning followed by rain or drizzle at all levels. Observed Weather Influences: A trace of early precipitation but generally dry. Cold temperatures to start then progressively milder. Moderate South-East airflow, much stronger later. ObservedSnowStability: The older windslab on East to South aspects at all altitudes is well bonded. A trace of new windslab accumulated in thin isolated pockets above 950m on steep North-West to North aspects. Older snowpack patches are firm and stable. Old and newer cornices weakened in milder conditions: cornice collapse observed from above Bellevue Buttress in early afternoon. The avalanche hazard is Low.
