At mid and high elevations backcountry riders and skiers could trigger soft surface slabs in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain today. These slabs may involve new and recent snow with depths up to three feet at higher elevations where the most snowfall has occured. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today.
