The snowpack is mostly stable with the exception of weak layers at the mid and high elevations that persist near the ground. On a few very steep avalanche paths, a slight potential remains for larger triggers such as snow machines or groups to trigger hard slabs to six feet in depth. The Ski Bum Music Festival, a yearly fund raiser for the avalanche center will be held tonight at the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson.
