The avalanche hazard is Low. Warming in the mid-day and afternoon on solar aspects may cause the snowpack to lose its cohesion and decrease its stability. On the other end of the spectrum, it is still possible to find small, isolated wind slabs at high elevations on steep slopes. Keep the time of day in mind during your travels and only expose one person at a time while traveling in avalanche terrain.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )As high pressure remains over the region, skies will be clear and a temperature inversion will again form overnight. Valley temperatures will drop into the single digits and at 10,000 feet into the teens. Tomorrow is expected to be warmer than today with high temperatures climbing into the thirties. Westerly winds are forecasted to be light with moderate gusts. The avalanche hazard will remain LOW. Warming in the mid-day and afternoon on solar aspects may cause the snowpack to lose its cohesion and decrease its stability.
