Forecast Snow Stability: Little change. Localised quantities of shallow windslab will exist in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North-West to North-East aspects, around coire rims and gully tops above 950 metres. Accumulations are not expected to gain significant depth nor be extensive. The existing spring snowpack elsewhere will be generally well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The Freeing Level will stay between 800 and 1000 metres overnight, rising to around summit levels as the day progresses. Further snow showers will affect summit elevations during the period. The winds will be strong, mainly South-Easterly throughout. Observed Weather Influences: Precipitation fell overnight initially as rain to all levels, then snow showers during the day to around summit elevations. The winds have been moderate to strong South and South-South East. ObservedSnowStability: Localised, shallow areas of windslab exist in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North-West to North-East aspects above around 950 metres.
