Southeasterly winds will pick up during the afternoon, and blow through the pass. These are expected to drift the recent snow into reactive, shallow slabs in exposed areas. You are most likely to trigger one near exposed features and ridgelines at upper elevations. Slabs should be shallow and fairly isolated in the terrain, as there isn't all that much new snow to transport. Use caution on steep slopes near ridgelines or crossloaded gully features, places where even a small slide could cause injury. Stay alert to changing conditions, and look for signs of wind drifting snow such as plumes coming off ridgelines. Heed signs of instability such as shooting cracks in cohesive drifts of snow, and aim to avoid any wind loaded pockets on steep slopes.
