Especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes small and medium-sized slab avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind. Single backcountry tourers can release avalanches in some places, including medium-sized ones.

Avalanche Activity

Especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes small and medium-sized slab avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind. Single backcountry tourers can release avalanches in some places, including medium-sized ones.

Avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on wind-loaded slopes.
