Snowpack
Dug in a north facing upper elevation start zone in anticipation of significant precip in the coming days. No results on the mid december weak layer, which was 70cm down in this pit. Structure in the mid to lower snowpack remains poor. Strength is high and propagation potential is low in this specific location. The mid december weak layer has likely moved into a period of dormancy. The incoming precip and wind will likely test this interface and will be worth monitoring as the storm progresses.
