I observed active snowfall throughout the entirety of the outing. Strong winds were variable, with powerful gusts out of the south.

Snowpack

Bootpacked on an icy and snow-covered trail from Bunny Flat to about 7,800 feet where skinning became possible.
Above treeline there is a patchwork of snow cover between rocks with the deepest height of snow being 22 inches (55 cm).
Boot penetration in the new/wind transported snow was 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) above a supportable crust.
