Quick report

Skinned out of the resort up to 6700’ elevation on a north, northwest aspect, 6” of fresh snow. However, south, southwest overnight winds had deposited snow up to 12” in places and only left 2” in other places. The new snow had enough moisture in it to make a snowball. The snow underneath was firm (settled) and was still dry and cold. Skied a southeast aspect. No signs of instability.
