Classic jaunt up Coneys. 1st ski for me this year, nice shake out, better skiing than it looked like it would be. Got out late afternoon 1500-1600. Temps were warm 45 at base, ~35ish @ 11k. Winds were cranking at times, WSW winds 20G40. Blowing and redistributing snow at ridge top and across higher surrounding alpine with a few visible plumes in Ruby Range. Snowpack generally 0-30cm, moist facets below 10,500 even in protected north facing, above 10500, cold faceted snow in N-NE facing terrain (skied well!), otherwise mix of crusts with 1-3mm facets below.
