Quick report

Toured in the Mt. Judah area to see how the snowpack responded to the Feb 24–25 rain event. Significant snow loss was observed at upper elevations. The snow surface remained wet with no evidence of an overnight refreeze at the time of travel. Large and well-developed rain runnels were present on multiple aspects. Runnels were deep and widely spaced, indicating sustained free water movement through the snowpack. Observed small roller balls on the north and west aspects during my descent at 2:30 pm.
