Snowpack

Around 1-2 inches of recent new snow on all aspects at 7,000' and 3 inches above 7,500' which provided continuous snow cover. Just enough snow to cover smooth slopes with rocky slopes still showing vast amounts of rock. On N to NE aspects I noted a 1 cm layer of faceted snow at ground level that formed out of the Oct 27 early am snowfall. This might become a concern on smooth slopes with very little anchoring and is worth keeping an eye on. The rest of the new snow is expected to facet on northerly aspects as the snowpack remains shallow in all areas.
