Today had it all, we started the day with good views and spotted several small, natural wind slabs from cross loaded features. Likely failing yesterday. As well as several small dry loose from extreme terrain. It snowed on and off all day, accumulating up to 5 cm, and bringing the storm snow up to around 20 cm. We dug a pit on a northerly aspect at treeline and had no results that would indicate instability. There was 250 cm of snow on the ground. The crust that got buried at the end of March is up to 1750 m on all aspects, but very thin on slopes that didn't get the sun. So thin you can't feel it sledding. Get the last of the pow before the winter is over!
