Clearing low clouds and light winds. Warm on solar aspects but no melting, stayed below freezing all day.

Snowpack

Upper pack was three to four inches of low density snow on top of preserved surface hoar on most aspects. Even south aspects had some preserved and buried surface hoar. The new snow has not really formed a slab yet so no cracking or collapsing was noted. Small wind drifts at ridge tops but did not feel much stiff slabs on our walk to Pt 6 and down. Mid pack and lower pack same as previously described- nonreactive near surface facets down 1ft and December crust-facet combo down 3ft. Southeast aspect had an additional thin melt crust/facet underlying the buried surface hoar. Did not see any active transport but plenty of low density snow available. Got eyes on lots of terrain, no dry loose or new wind slabs natural avalanches noted.
