Weather

Very calm winds. A squall rolled through around 10am with periods of heavy snowfall, but by midday the sun popped out.

Snowpack

The snowpack did not fully freeze before the new snow fell, especially at lower elevations.

Avalanche

I triggered a small slab avalanche in steep alpine terrain. It flushed out the couloir, taking most of the new snow with it. I also saw a natural loose avalanche in another steep east-facing couloir.
