Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Low coverage, rocks, and significant wind loading and slabs everywhere. Things felt fairly stable during travel, wind slabs were hard with minimal cracking or collapsing, probably because we were on low angle terrain and low coverage. We did observe some small shooting cracks on ski cuts of small cornice features. Dug a pit at 5915, NE aspect, time approx 1400. Air temp 22f, snow temp 20f, light wind, scattered clouds, no precip. Slope 25 degrees (estimated). Observed what appeared to be to be rounding facets on top of the solstice crust, hard to say because hands were cold and I wanted to get moving (also grain identification is hard). Testing CT14@50cm (solstice crust), TD100, sudden planar No further testing was performed
